One website instead of half a software stack

I build custom websites, mobile-optimised, with SEO, GEO, backend, CRM and AI built in. No subscriptions to tools that do one job each: one product you own.

Marco Carotenuto builds custom websites from €1,500: mobile-first, integrated SEO and GEO (sitemap, schema.org, llms.txt), backend with database, CRM, bookings and Stripe payments, artificial intelligence where it helps. Replaces paid tools like HubSpot, premium WordPress plugins, Calendly and separate SEO/analytics suites. Main stack: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, Python; other languages on request.

Four fewer subscriptions

Each row is a monthly cost that disappears when the feature lives in your site, not in an external SaaS.

HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce

Custom CRM and client management, no contact limits

WordPress + premium plugins

Custom CMS and admin panel, zero recurring plugin fees

Calendly, Acuity, separate Stripe

Native bookings, payments and invoicing in the site

SEMrush, Hotjar, external analytics

Technical SEO, AI discoverability (GEO) and built-in analytics

What a well-built site includes

Not a brochure feature list: these are the things that separate a business card site from a product that works for you.

Mobile-first, always

I design every page at 390px before 1440px. Fluid layouts, generous tap targets, 4G performance: 70% of traffic comes from phones.

SEO Google understands

Metadata, sitemap, hreflang, schema.org, semantic headings and clean URLs. I won't promise page one in a week: I build foundations that last.

GEO: AI finds you

llms.txt, citable answer blocks, machine-readable pricing.md, robots.txt open to AI crawlers. When someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity, the answer can include you.

Backend and database

Authentication, admin roles, APIs, webhooks, transactional email, file storage. The site isn't a static brochure: it handles data, users and transactions.

CRM and automations

Leads from forms, client pipeline, email notifications, reminders. No CSV exports to an external CRM: contacts live where you already work.

Built-in artificial intelligence

Chatbots, content analysis, text generation, automatic classification. AI where it makes sense, not as a gimmick: to cut manual work and respond faster.

Stack and languages

I pick the stack for the project, not for trends. These are my main tools; for everything else, ask.

Real projects

Not mockups: sites and products I built and use every day.

How I work

Three steps, no ceremony. Each phase has a concrete output you can see and comment on.

  1. Brief and plan

I understand what you need, which tools you want to replace and who your clients are. You get a plan with stack, timeline and quote within 48 hours.

  2. Iterative development

I build in steps: key pages first, then backend and integrations. You see progress on staging, not three months before the first screenshot.

  3. Delivery and support

Deploy, domain, SSL, admin training. I stay available for fixes and evolution: the site grows with your business.

What it costs

Price depends on complexity, integrations and page count. The starting point covers a professional site with the right foundations.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions I get most often about websites. If yours isn't here, get in touch.

How much does a custom website really cost?

From €1,500 for a professional site with mobile-first design, technical SEO, GEO, backend, admin and contact forms. CRM, bookings, Stripe payments and AI are quoted separately based on your brief. You get a detailed quote within 48 hours, no obligation.

Why not WordPress or Wix?

WordPress and Wix tie you to paid plugins, constant updates and limits you only discover when you grow. A custom site replaces those tools with code you own: no monthly subscriptions for CRM, booking or SEO. And you don't update 15 plugins every month hoping nothing breaks.

What is GEO and why do I need it?

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is optimization for AI that answers searches: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI. I set up llms.txt, citable answer blocks, schema.org and machine-readable pricing so when someone asks "who builds websites with integrated CRM" the answer can include you. It's tomorrow's SEO, built in from day one.

How long does it take?

A basic site (5-8 pages, forms, admin) takes 3-5 weeks. Projects with CRM, bookings, payments or AI start at 6-8 weeks. I work in steps: you see progress on staging every week, not months before the first result.

Are hosting, domain and maintenance included?

The quote covers development and initial deploy. Hosting and domain are low recurring costs (around €10-20/month on Vercel or similar) that I manage for you or explain how to handle. Routine maintenance has no mandatory subscription: I stay available for fixes and evolution on request.

Can I update the site myself?

Yes. I build a custom admin panel for what you need: copy, photos, products, bookings, leads. At delivery I train you on the admin in a 30-60 minute session. For structural changes or new features, just write to me.

Do you build apps as well as websites?

Yes. I built Framia, an iOS app with AI for photographers, available on the App Store. For clients I build iOS, Android or progressive web apps when it makes sense for the project. The website stays the core; the app is an extension when needed.

What happens after delivery?

You get the site live, the code is yours, the admin works and you have training. For the first 30 days I include fixes for any bugs. After that, no subscription: you contact me only if you want to add features or maintenance. The site is yours, not a SaaS holding you hostage.

Got a project in mind?

Tell me what you need, which tools you want to drop and your timeline. I reply within 24 hours with a first estimate.
