Before we start you send me a selection of your RAW files. We work on those: the sample files in tutorials are always perfect, yours are not, and it is precisely on yours that you have to learn to decide.
Every lesson is recorded and you receive it afterwards. You don't need to take notes while watching, and when you forget a step two months later you rewatch it instead of writing to me.
These are live one-to-one lessons over video call with a shared screen. You can interrupt and ask at any point, which is the difference between a course and a video on YouTube.
On Lightroom Classic, the version with a local catalogue and the full workflow for people who archive and print. The development method is almost identical in both versions: if you work in the cloud version, the panels are the same and what mainly differs is file management.
Yes, the software is yours and is not included in the course price. If you don't have it yet, Adobe's Photography plan is the one you need; it is worth activating before the first lesson, possibly on the free trial, so we don't spend the session installing things.
No, and that is deliberate: editing is better taught over a shared screen than with two people at one monitor. That is why this page does not promise an in-person lesson. If you are looking for an in-person course in Rome, that one is about shooting in the field.
You decide, and the rhythm that works best is one lesson a week: in between you have time to rework your photos and arrive at the next lesson with real questions. Going faster rarely helps.
Yes, and in that case the programme changes: we skip the introduction and work on where you got stuck, which is usually colour consistency across a series and exporting for print. Send me a few of your files and I'll tell you beforehand whether it makes sense.
If you have a folder of photos you never developed the way you wanted, that is exactly the right material to start with.
